This makes me anxious and I don’t even own a blackberry. Talk about addiction withdrawal syndrome. This is like running out of nicotine gum for cigarette quitters.

I didn’t care about the article in and of itself. But I found some of the facts interesting. Such as this one:

“In fact, flirting might even have some indirect benefits on the job, says Reeder, citing research conducted at the University of South Alabama in 2003 showing that people who don’t flirt very much have lower energy levels and rate themselves as less attractive than people who flirt a lot.”

One reader commented to me that they wish I had more description about my links. That way they would know what they are about to look at. Although I like the idea of people thinking, “Oh, it’s Laura’s Best Link of the Day, so it MUST be Good!”, I can understand their rationale. Perhaps they are busy people or maybe just aren’t interested in everything I am. Sometimes I just don’t have the time to describe the links. On the other hand, it might be nice to put in some of my rationale for the link.

Here’s what I like about this link.

First of all, I was amused by the following quote:

“The tax has been proposed by the Sierra Club of New Mexico who believe that video games should be taxed in order to fund a government campaign to promote outdoor education among kids.”

How dare they do such a thing!!

But it goes on…

“Help prevent this dangerous precedent from being set by raising awareness in New Mexico.”

This could be terrible. It sounds like the world might end by reading this.

Although there isn’t very much on this page, there was more on the e-mail that I received. I have been on their list serve for quite sometime. I think they are a highly amusing (and fun!) voter group.

The e-mail campaign also includes this quote:

” The environmental groups should educate themselves on the growing impact that video games, particular with the Nintendo Wii and Dance Dance Revolution, are making in promoting exercise among across the nation.”

So…There. Take that, environmental groups!

I usually find no humor out of the embarassment of politicians cheating on their spouses and having it splashed across the news. However, the whole, “politicians hitting on staffers” is always something that erks me.
